Askham Bryan

In need of an update to their Learning Resource Centre (LRC), Askham Bryan College wanted a space focused toward innovation and the future of Agriculture. Named ‘AI Learn,’ the space is used heavily by their students across the whole of their campus. The new space needed to be fresh, exciting for people to engage in, and inspiring to bring forward thoughts of what the future could bring for Agriculture, particularly with the power of AI.

Project: Askham Bryan College - AI Learn

Location: York

Size: 3500 SQ / FT

The concept itself focuses into technology, with wall graphics designed to highlight areas of interest. Intuitive and instructive wayfinding has been introduced with the wall graphics, pops of colour and variety of zonal floor finishes.

Offering areas for collaborative group work, quiet focus areas and bookable classroom spaces across both floors, AI Learn was designed to act as a fluid and flexible space for students to move freely to areas that would best suit their style of independent learning. The ‘Neurodiversity’ space also offers a quieter space for those who need it, allowing for lighting that can be adjusted to softer tones and levels.
